Duties include developing lesson plans and exams, maintaining student grades, and attending instructor meetings. Requirements: 1. A bachelor's degree in English, linguistics or related field, and a minimum of three months of full-time ESL or foreign language classroom teaching experience; or 2. (July 16, 2012) ESL Assessment and Cambridge Coordinator Assessment Coordinator is responsible for ESOL testing programs such as Cambridge FCE, CAE and CPE, TOEFL, TOEIC, and Tourism. Acts as Cambridge Exam Manager and liaison with Cambridge ESOL to ensure invigilation of exams are run according to Cambridge specifications. Arrange all aspects of the official Cambridge examinations, the Institutional TOEIC and Tourism testing protocols. Participate in the hiring, evaluating and mentoring of teachers in the testing programs. Ensure testing program teachers properly prepare and have the necessary resources for teaching the respective exams. Maintain and update materials and testing resources. Call and run Cambridge Program meetings as well as attend other departmental meetings. Teach a minimum of 10 lessons a week of Cambridge, TOEFL, TOEIC, Tourism, General English and/or private lessons. Maintain student achievement records in a database for testing programs. Report on the progress of students in all testing programs. Required Qualifications: BA in TESOL, SLA, Applied Linguistics or relevant ESL certification. Knowledge of the Cambridge ESOL exams. Two years of ESOL teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications: MA in TESOL, SLA or Applied Linguistics or relevant ESL certification: CELTA and DELTA strongly preferred, with a BA in similar fields. Two years experience teaching the Cambridge FCE and CAE exam preparation courses. Experience in administration of an educational program. Salary based on education and experience. Lessons will typically take place on or near local University campuses Saturdays and Sundays for three consecutive weekends (up to 6 courses per year, dependent on student registrations).
